Ylivieska Business Centre’s new battery recycling technology & ecosystem development project (BR Pilot Plant) secured ERDF financing from Council of Oulu Region in April 2021 and will be launched in August this year.
Six companies from the Battery Recycling Innovation Park partner network have confirmed to co-finance the project. Project comprise a li-ion battery recycling pilot plant feasibility study with an aim of setting up an actual pilot plant and a technology development centre as a part of the Battery Recycle Innovation Park in Ylivieska.
The idea is to offer interested battery and other industry companies research institutions a testing, and piloting environment and an equipment resource to support new innovations in battery industry and battery recycling and to enable active collaboration between companies and other interest groups.
