BR Pilot Plant project manager Tommi Sirviö will start on September 1, 2021. The City of Ylivieska Business Services are launching a BR Pilot Plant development project this autumn. BR Pilot Plant is a sister project to Battery Recycling Innovation Park, and the aim of this new project is to explore the possibilities of establishing a pilot recycling plant for lithium-ion batteries and a related development and testing environment (virtual pilot plant) in Ylivieska. When completed, the pilot plant will act as an international concentration in the circular economy ecosystem related to battery technology and recycling development.
The project is funded by the Council of Oulu Region.
